Incisor Intrusion

This was an adult patient with absent upper left canine and upper right 1st premolar teeth and previous aggressive periodontal disease. Limited treatment was undertaken for maxillary arch alignment and levelling, whilst avoiding extrusion of the buccal teeth, and this then enabled placement of a bonded retainer. Infinitas mini-implants were used to maximize intrusion of the incisors and overbite reduction.  These were 1.5mm diameter and 6mm body length versions. Direct traction was applied using powerchain to the lateral and then central incisor brackets.
